The course had a good material base, made great by 1. a fantastic teacher (John Taylor) who brought his experience and charisma to the fore, and 2. a great bunch of other students. I was a bit hesitant to take an online Zoom course, but in the end it was a great experience, perhaps even better thna if it had been in person.

The only downside are the weaknesses of the Zoom medium itself, but it’s a small issue.

John is a great facilitator with tons of real world experience so you feel from the start of the class you have an authentic TESL teacher. In a short period of time – you gain confidence and start to believe that you could also become a TESL teacher. Much gratitude for sharing your wisdom, expertise and patience.

This one seems legit. I was skeptical but I think I got my money’s worth. I felt that it prepared me reasonably well. Better than I thought it would be. I would recommend. We will see if it gets me a job, but the placement service seems to be top notch.

A great course with an opportunity to connect with other teachers beginning their journey in ESL! The practicum teaching experience was very useful and exciting to put the skills into practice. So many resources shared, and I feel very confident that this course will lead directly to additional work opportunities doing something fun and interesting! Thank you!

I had a great experience with Oxford seminars! I enjoyed the course and felt like it prepared me well. The instructors were super positive and involved, and I could tell they actually cared about getting me ready to teach. The job placement program was very helpful and I was able to quickly get a job in one of my chosen countries! They stayed in contact with me during the process and my recruiter Madeline made sure I understood everything that was happening. I ended up staying for multiple years in my school and had a great time. Overall it was a great experience and I’d recommend it to anyone who was interested in teaching abroad.

I had an amazing experience with Oxford Seminars from start to finish! The certification course was well-structured and engaging, with knowledgeable instructors who made even the more challenging concepts easy to understand.

What really sets Oxford Seminars apart is their placement service and the support. The staff were incredibly supportive, guiding me every step of the way in finding a teaching position. Thanks to their help, I’m now headed to Colombia to teach, and I couldn’t be more excited about this next chapter in my life.

This course has been an amazing help to me. I was worried about going into teaching abroad, but this course made me feel so competent in what I was doing and what I will be doing for the rest of my life. The materials, course content, and the lessons were all very well presented and phenomenally valuable. My instructor, Sujoy, made the course incredibly engaging and I made it through the class with a smile on my face. Thank you for such a great course.
