AVSE-TESOL offers an internationally recognised TESOL/TEFL training programme in 3 of the world’s must visit cities: Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam and Phnom Penh in Cambodia. Our core business is all about providing the certification, knowledge and skills that are needed to pursue a brilliant career teaching English as a second language.

The TESOL/TEFL course at AVSE involves 150 hours of in-class study over 4 weeks with practical teaching experience being a hefty component of the study programme. What we offer comes with complimentary accommodation, a Welcome Party, a Welcome Pack, a free City Tour, all materials & equipment, a guaranteed teaching job once the course has finished and a lot more – real value for money.

AVSE was a great experience and offers amazing knowledge about ESL teaching AND how to navigate Vietnam. The course is pretty consistent with the schedule and generous with breaks throughout the day. This location specifically offers many places to grab drinks & food if you get hungry. I felt safe and comfortable within the facility. Overall, I enjoyed my time at AVSE!

I enrolled in two incredible programs: the Teaching Job Abroad Program (TJAP) and the Teaching Internship Program. My journey began at AVSE’s fantastic facility in Ho Chi Minh City, where I successfully completed the TJAP. Currently, I am immersing myself in the Internship Program in the picturesque Mekong region.

What sets AVSE apart is its comprehensive and personalized approach. During the TJAP, I gained invaluable hands-on experience teaching students across CEFR levels A1 to B2. This was more than just training; it was a deep dive into the art of teaching, where I developed the ability to adapt to diverse classroom dynamics, engage learners of all ages, and deliver impactful lessons with confidence.

But AVSE goes far beyond the classroom. Their support system is incomparable. They handled every detail of my journey with precision and care, from the visa application process to airport pickup and arranging comfortable, well-located accommodation. At every stage, their team was just a call away, ensuring I felt supported and valued.

The entire team, from senior directors to frontline staff, is approachable, empathetic, and brimming with industry knowledge. I have thoroughly enjoyed the TESOL program here @ AVSE. It was indeed very enlightening and helpful in starting my career as an ESL teacher. The curriculum was presented in a manner that enabled me to grasp the concepts of the course material and properly apply the information provided to me by my instructor. I was able to create a variety of in-depth lesson plans and was given the opportunity to present them in a real-life classroom environment. I found this to be extremely beneficial in building my confidence and skillset. In my experience at AVSE, there was always someone willing and able to assist me with every concern that I had. The instructor- Mr. Mick was very attentive to each individual in his classroom and provided advice about assignments and also provided answers to questions and concerns about living in Ho Chi Minh City. His advice and help were instrumental in my success in the program.

From the very beginning of my journey through this course, I was assisted by Ms. Mary who was dedicated to ensuring my safe arrival to HCMC, she personally showed me the location of accommodation in proximity to the location of the school. She made sure that I was well taken care of throughout my stay in HCMC- all concerns from finding a nearby ATM machine to receiving help with creating a CV was provided to me.

When it was time to present my lesson in the classroom, the teachers were very receptive and Ms. Anna gave fair observation reports for each class that I taught with expertise advice in areas of improvement and areas in which I exceled. Ms. Anna and Ms. Heather were an intricate part of assisting me with my lesson plan preparation. They advised me as what information was pertinent in presenting and helped me to understand how to go about presenting the lesson plan for my future students.

Overall, I found this course to be extremely beneficial, not only from the perspective of gaining a TESOL certificate, but also from the perspective of conquering a new and challenging experience with the help of the dedicated staff and administration at AVSE. It was a pleasure learning from and engaging with everyone associated with AVSE, to include Ms. Miranda and the teachers whom I was able to meet and work with in their classrooms. Working with the brilliant students at AVSE has been such a rewarding, unforgettable and amazing experience that will remain with me forever.

AVSE’s TESOL course in HCM Vietnam exceeded my expectations. The instructor’s expertise and enthusiasm made the learning process engaging and enjoyable. The course structure, materials and assessments were well-organized. The teaching practice sessions, particularly, helped me develop my teaching skills and adaptability.
