I enrolled for the 180 hrs course. I enjoyed the work and quality of the lessons. I submitted assignment 1 on time. When it was time for assignment 2, I duly submitted it and waited for a reply from the marker. When the result of the grading came the marker’s comments were not attached to the reply in which I was advised to redo parts of assignment 2. When I opened the marker’s message it reads: Your assignment has been graded, click here for feedback. When I clicked on feed back a message came up the reads: SORRY THIS PAGE COULD NOT BE OPENEND.

I was stuck and after a few emails to i-i-TEFL, I am still stuck and unable to redo assignment 2 and submit assignment 3.

I have send some email messages to i-i-TEFL in regard to the page that couldn’t be opened, but the responder on their side was not able to identify the essence of my messages and attach the comments for me to correct assignment 2.

It seems to me that i-i-TEFL wants to force me into a course extension which I will not pay, because the unnecessary delay was caused by the marker Peter Bowdry who neglected to attach his comments unto his email message to me.

I, as the student of i-i-TEFL has been sidelined away from successfully reaching the end of the 180 hrs course for which I have enrolled for and unable to walk away with a qualification. My course fee is money badly wasted. Rather stay away from i-i-TEFL!!!!!!!

NEXT TIME I WILL RATHER STAY FAR AWAY FROM i-i-TEFL, BECAUSE OF THEIR INABILITY TO EXECUTE THEIR DUTY IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER.

I wish I didn’t waste my money on these guys. Firstly they don’t answer any phone calls, live chat is basically useless, and the nit picking on assignments is so blatant that I began questioning if they’re scammers.

As you progress through the course they took 4 weeks to mark one assignment, no calls, no feedback just excuses of the system crashing. Only for the tutor to find the smallest mistakes and fail you, so you’re basically spending an entire month stuck on one assignments.

They don’t offer to any compensation for the time you lost for their mistakes nor do they answer emails, you’re all on your own as soon as you start this course.

Good luck to anyone unfortunate enough to take their course.

I embarked on the I-to-I TEFL course with hopes of gaining valuable knowledge and skills to kickstart my teaching career. Unfortunately, my experience with this program fell far short of expectations.

First and foremost, the course content felt outdated and lacking in relevance to modern teaching practices. It seemed to disregard crucial advancements in language teaching methodologies, leaving me ill-prepared for real-world classroom scenarios. The materials provided did not align with current professional standards, making it difficult to apply what I learned in practical settings.

Moreover, the staff and tutors associated with I-to-I TEFL were anything but supportive or professional. Communication was often slow and unhelpful, with responses to queries feeling dismissive and impersonal. Feedback on assignments was minimal and lacked constructive criticism, leaving me feeling unsupported and unsure of my progress.

Overall, I cannot recommend the I-to-I TEFL course to aspiring educators. Its outdated content, lack of professional standards, and unsupportive staff make it an unsuitable choice for anyone serious about pursuing a career in teaching English as a foreign language.

I started the course but had so many glitches in their system. It ended up not getting resolved and I was so frustrated I decided to stop the course. I told them. Yet they continue to invoice me that I owe them. Email after email even though I told them.

They’re just interested in money.

As I got to the end of my course expiry date I noticed that the time taken to mark assignments has taken well over the stipulated time frame. I had to submit one assignment 3 times before I passed. The feedback given each time could all have been given to me after my first submission but it seemed like a delay tactic to force me to extend my course. It eventually took one month for one assignment to be finalised. This placed pressure on me which promoted me us more information from the internet on my next assignment. I submitted and was told that due to plagarism I needed to write the assignment in my own words and resubmit. I was also advised on his assignment that if I had to resubmit again I would be charged. The assignment was returned stating that I now needed to change the activities because I can’t just copy activities. This is something the tutor could have indicated in the first feedback but it seems they wanted to not pass me the next time so I would have to pay a retake fee.

And this is my next issue. On the previous assignment I submitted 3 times with no issues. Now I was told that I have to pay because this is my 3rd of 4 allowed attempts. When I enquired I was told that the rule changed in Oct 2023 and I was sent an email. I asked for proof of the email because I did not hear of this before and I was told the message is automated so there is not proof. I asked for an explanation as to why 3 submissions were allowed in the previous assignment with no charge and I was asked to speak to the tutor. They just change the rule, there is no evidence of advising me and I was not penalized before but now that I am close to the end it seems that these are tactics to exploit me for more money.

Pathetic. I will not be wasting another cent on this stupid institute. I will stop where I am and accept the certificate that I get. Judging by other comments here, I may even get the the certificate.

I do not recommend i-to-i. Bunch of thieves trying to exploit students and drain as much money from them as possible.

I passed the course at the end of last year, 2023, and I ordered a hard copy certificate at the beginning of January 2024 and seven weeks later I have still not arrived it.

Twice, I have been told it will be sent, but still no certificate.

I’m beginning to believe this is a scam.

Until this point, I found them ok. I did not feel they were intentionally trying to drag the course out as I passed all assignments within 2 to 3 attempts & they were marked very promptly.

However, their reluctance to send my certificate makes me question the company’s motives.

Originally I was very impressed with customer service, however, my last few assignments took weeks to be marked instead of the 5 days I was promised. Having submitted last year, I only received feedback weeks into 2024. I have now decided to shorten my course and requested the certificates for the courses I have completed but have not heard anything from anyone regarding this. I keep being told that someone will contact me however I have heard nothing about this. The plan was to start working in 2024, but with the extremely slow feedback rate and no one assisting me with receiving my certificates for my passed courses – this is now impossible.

I’m beginning to wonder if the education provider is legitimate. Apparently, I have fulfilled every requirements and I double checked my work and assignments with a senior English teacher currently based in Bangkok.

But the school almost always find the slightest of mistake that has zero relevance to the gist of the assignment, which in my opinion I have executed fairly well.

This leaves me in awe and speechless after numerous repeated payments of “retake fees”. So much so, I am forced to abandon the course before they milk every penny from me.

Highly not recommended.

The worst decision ever. They do not disclose the additional fees that are required to get your work graded. I wish I would have steered clear of this “school”. Most educational facilities have a minimum grade to pass. I understand wanting to have the best teachers and deliver high quality on any certificate that you do endorse, sign, or guarantee but even a “DEGREE” is good with a C grade. These people need to remind themselves they are just providing education at a “CERTIFICATE” level. It is not a PhD.

For a certificate program, they just mark you as this “refer” to want more money. The school needs to be shut down. My Bachelor degree did not come with so much stress. Maybe an investigation needs to be done on the number of students that pass and how much money is spent on top of the course fee. The government may find out that they are apparently doing some shady business. And the number they provide in the country of your residency, do not be shocked if that does not work. It may be cheap but you better run away. They provide you with the resources to include in these so called assignments and then when you use the information in your plan, they say it is inappropriate. Can you say contradictory? Such a rip off.

Once a person has paid for your course, they will keep failing you and use every delay tactic possible just sovthat you have to extend your course. There is minimal student support and then you have to pay to get your certificate after qualifying. Nobody ever answers the phone or emails. The only time a person gets a quick response is if they think you are going to make purchase. I had zero support in finding work. Any work I found was on my own and without any supporting what so ever from i-to-i!!
