This is a very good course ! The content is very good and well layered out . The course is very easy to follow as it is laid out in chronological order. The course may be a little bit hard but it is well worth it as it preps you well for the bigger world . The content will help you largely with the 3 assignments.

I love how responsive the people from the academy are . The communication is very well . It is easy to receive assistance from tutors and they explain everything well .

I would highly recommend this course .

The TEFL course gave me the opportunity to explore the english language in a way that will help me relay this information in the most simplest of ways.

The course is well organized and very easy to follow. The activities within the units are fine but sometimes they are too easy and do not require any mental effort. What I liked most is the tests at the end of each unit that really highlight the most important points and make you remember the material. Another point to mention is the tutor support which has been very helpful throughout the course.

Completing my Level 5 Tefl qualification has opened a range of new possible job opportunities that will allow me to work remotely and flexibly.

I have loved the additional skills and knowledge that I’ve obtained throughout the course, that I can pair with my teaching background and use in an educational setting!

I’m so glad that I took the level 5 course with the TEFL Academy, it was such a beautiful experience. It was hard, challenging but inspirational as well.

I loved doing this course because it had many tips and valuable information. On how I can make my classes better. I liked that I could do it into my own time and had practice making lesson plans and got valuable feedback. As there wasn’t practical teaching involved, there was a little gap for me to fully put it into practice, yet that option is there so I do like that do for people who really need it. As I already have been teaching, just not with the TEFL method, I just felt a bit more confident. Right now I do even feel more so. I think to have a mentor assigned for questions and maybe more help or an overview of English grammar that often is taught in TEFL classes would be really valuable for self study and in case there aren’t any methods used in schools. Other than that I would really recommend taking the course!

The course is very detailed and provides access to many resources. It also covers all areas needed. However, as the assignments are very intense , I think that smaller practice assignments should be given so students can get feedback before attempting the major ones which contribute to their final grade.

I reviewed a few websites offering TEFL qualifications, TEFL Academy came top due to it being transparent, easy to enroll and no unreasonable requirement to achieve the certificate, e.g. 12 hours of shadowing.

I wanted to achieve a TEFL certificate so I can also teach vocabulary that describes our state of mind in a manner that is accurately recognized in the English language. I would like for students to be mindful of their well-being and be in a position to express themselves and not be mi-understood.

I was schooled in the UK having arrived from overseas at age three. Grammar was never my strong point. I concluded I wanted to learn new things like grammar, and help people in different ways.

The course started at a steady pace and it felt I was not understanding the grammar parts. I liked the end-of-unit tests as they bought the whole unit together.

I struggled with the grammar lessons, but as the course advices if you keep repeating it eventually the student will get it. I did get the basics in the end. Only to struggle with another basic aspect of grammar towards the end. Looking back the structure of the course is very good, it steadily gets more difficult as you progress. The language used in the course is easy to understand.

The tutor marking my assignments was clear and concise I was able to rectify what I made mistakes on. Towards the end I was running out of time, the tutor was very good supporting me to complete the course on time. I like the feedback I took copies on my phone to help further down the line. it would of been good to have met the tutor at least once via online resources.

I would of liked a search engine for the course material, sometimes you remember a phrase or wording and want to look back and not have to scroll through glossaries or pages of a unit.

What I have learnt is now embedded in my brain. Regardless of feeling inadequate about my grammar knowledge, ever time I returned to the course I felt excited to keep doing it. In my current job role I can spend up to nine hours a day on a computer Monday to Friday but I found it hard to stop learning more and would have to go over it again to refresh what I learnt the night before I feel enthusiastic to learn more grammar and will be taking other grammar courses. I am grateful for this certificate and I have plans to use it in the UK for the non-English speking people whom are displaced and I wish to take it abroad and use it there to.

I would consider more learning through the TEFL Academy and I would recommend it as a teaching site.

A great course! It was hard work but nonetheless, worth every minute. Received a lot of feedback whenever asked for, which was very helpful!
