Description

OnTESOL was developed by Coventry House International, the only school in North America that offers Trinity CertTESOL courses, to provide students with the flexibility of taking an internationally recognized TESOL/TEFL course online.

We offer a 120-hour online TESOL program, which is recognized by TESL Canada Professional Standard 1 and ACTDEC UK Level 3, and a 250-hour online TESOL program, which is recognized by TESL Canada Professional Standard 2 and ACTDEC UK Level 5.

The Advanced 120-hour TESOL Certificate is perfect for those who want to teach English in Canada or abroad because it is very similar to CELTA and Trinity CertTESOL. I would defiantly recommend Ontesol’s courses. The material they provide is comprehensive but is written a way that make these deep concepts easy to comprehend. Many of the views i had on teaching before the course have changed. I also have a much better appreciation for the importance of phonology. I expected this section to be quite boring but I actually had fun learning how we make syllable and how important incredibly minor looking differences can be.

However if one thing stood out about the program it was the quality of their staff. My tutor didn’t just help me pass my assignments. After each assignment he added his own experiences, helpful tips and what to concentrate on. And all of the staff were very accommodating and punctual. They were very willing to go the extra mile to help me. If one wants to do a TESOL I seriously recommend Ontesol.

The courses offered by ONTESOL are very comprehensive and extremely helpful if you want to teach English abroad or locally. The classes being online, I could study and work at the same time. I was given plenty of time to complete the assignments and the feedback was spot-on and very prompt. The instructors were also very encouraging and ready to answer my questions. I have completed three courses (100 hours, 250 hours and the TEYL). The 250-hour course offers very detailed information on grammar and phonology, which I now successfully use in my classes. I knew nothing about TESL before and this was a great way for me to delve into this field and feel confident about my skills. Overall it was a great experience and it has definitely made me a better teacher!

After completing the 120-hour course with TBEC specialization, I can see why OnTesol has such a good reputation: The course is very well designed and taught. Both tutors were extremely professional and thorough when grading assignments and giving feedback. Customer support was responsive and helpful at all times. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking for a serious online alternative. 5 stars all in all.

I only have great things to say about the 250-hour course. The material was easy to follow and the assignments were very practical. The assignments start easy and then get very challenging when you have to create full lesson plans. My tutor filled my work with comments on everything I submitted and she was there 24/7 to answer my questions. The Practicum module helped me see how a lesson plan is such a crucial part of teaching English as I had to create a lesson plans for each class. I really liked that I learned to teach English in a very creative way, using songs and videos instead of the textbook. My school really liked how I evolved as a teacher while taking the course with Ontesol. This is a great school to get your TESOL certification.

“This course was excellent. My tutors, Ainsley and Claudia were kind and knowledgeable. The grammar and phonetics components were coherent and thorough. The methodology component was a practical, well-structured guide to creating engaging and interactive lesson plans. The readings provided in the TBEC component were practical and informative. I would highly recommend this course to all prospective ESL teachers.”

The Ontesol 120-hour TESOL program was exactly what I was looking for in a course. I had the flexibility of doing the course work at my own pace while working full-time. It was very thorough and detailed, giving me new insight in my lesson planning techniques. I also did a specialization in TEYL because I enjoy teaching children. I had two wonderful teaching supervisors. Ainsley was very detail oriented and Claudia was very encouraging. They really made a difference when I had difficulties. Thank you very much!

I needed to take an online course because the closest university is 2 hours away. I didn’t know how to pick a course, so I went to the TESL Canada website. I ended up taking the 250-hour course offered by Ontesol because it was the most affordable one. I thought it would be a walk in the park but it was a lot of work. Really worth it though! There are 30 assignments and 3 exams in this course. A lot of emphasis is placed on lesson planning and I am very grateful for that because I was ready to teach any level when I finished the course. If you want to become a good teacher, then take this course!

The Ontesol Diploma program helped me secure a full-time job in Canada after having taught around the world without certification. I was stunned at the quality of the course material and the professional support I received from my tutor. I am very grateful for the support that my tutor provided because the first five assignments were very difficult for me. I thought that I knew everything from my time teaching abroad and this program kicked my butt! The methods that this program teaches work perfectly in any classroom. Overall, this is a great program and I highly recommend it.

I completed my course with Ontesol two weeks ago and shortly after I was accepted to teach in Korea thanks to their 120-hour TEFL certificate. Ontesol is a great company to learn to create lesson plans and it doesn’t cost much to study online with them. 5 stars!

I would like to thank ONTESOL for providing a wonderful course. My experience with this school was beyond what I imagined. The structure of the course was easy to follow and very smooth. It was flexible and provided me with all that I needed to know to prepare myself, confidently, in pursuing a teaching job overseas. The tutors also deserve praise for their patience, quick responses, and thorough guidance. Words cannot describe how thankful I am for an amazing course such as the one this school provides.
