The idea of giving up my regular day job to embark upon a new and challenging career would have been impossible had it not been for my time spent at Oxford TEFL, Prague.
I completed the Trinity CertTESOL in August 2012 and four months down the teaching road, I can honestly say it alone has provided the solid basis upon which I can continue to develop as a teacher.
From the very outset of application, Oxford TEFL provided concise and relevant information and facts. Useful info was offered about the city and the accommodation that was provided was brilliant. (I had a wonderful balcony apartment overlooking Petrin Hill-perfect for the summer evenings!!)
The pre-course task was really helpful, and prepared me for what to anticipate on the course itself- I feel that I arrived in Prague prepared to undertake the Trinity Cert. TESOL.
Throughout the course itself, the knowledgeable guidance from the staff, the input sessions and also the hours of real-time teaching practise was second to none. Nothing was ever too much bother and just as we were encouraged to build a strong rapport with our students, the teaching staff too created a positive learning environment for the trainees; offering support and advice to our queries.
Post course, Oxford TEFL offer additional day courses in Business English and also Teaching Young Learners- both with a great structure and content, and personally they have been of value when applying for job positions.
Throughout the course, we were encouraged and challenged and although it required hard work and organisation, it was most definitely the most positive learning experience I have had of recent years. I have acquired new skills and abilities that 5 months ago I didn’t think were possible.
Simply, I couldn’t recommend Oxford TEFL and its staff enough!!!
