TEFL Worldwide Prague offers a 4-week internationally recognised and accredited TEFL course in the enchanting city of Prague.

Our 130-hour TEFL course provides an excellent insight into TEFL approaches and methods, as well as 6 to 8 hours of hands-on teaching practice in real classrooms. The teaching practice during the TEFL course will give you a solid foundation when beginning your first job teaching English abroad.

We will support you before, during and after the course and help you find a teaching job after graduating. You can stay and teach in Prague or teach all over the world. Graduates usually find work 1-2 weeks after the course. We are part of a large language school in Prague, so many graduates come and work for us straight after the course.

One of the best decisions I’ve made was to take the TEFL course at TEFL Worldwide Prague.

Kenny and Adrienne are fantastic teacher trainers! The rest of the staff were always friendly and helpful and the comments during the feedback sessions, after teaching, were extremely helpful.

The course is very well structured, getting into a classroom in front of real students in the first few days of the course was nerve-wracking but such a great way to get over any fears or anxiety. The 8-10 hours of real teaching time allowed me to build my confidence so that when I stepped into my first classroom, shortly after graduation, I felt prepared and confident!

The topics covered, and experiences imparted, by Kenny and Adrienne have given me and my fellow graduates from September 2016 course an excellent base from which to grow and improve as teachers, I can see why so many schools are keen to snap up TEFL Worldwide graduates!

Completing the course itself was incredibly hard work, the days (and nights) are long, preparing for lessons and completing assignments, but the feeling of achievement and the new skills learned by the end massively outweigh this.

If you’re considering taking a TEFL course, do it! If your considering whether to come to Prague for the course, do it! If your considering TEFL Worldwide Prague as a school, do it! You won’t regret it!

TEFL worldwide is one of the best decisions I have ever made. The course was incredibly enlightening. I’ve learned so much about myself and the English language as a result of signing up for this TEFL. The teachers are amazing and guided each student every step of the way. The practice teaching and feedback provided allowed me to feel prepared when entering the real teaching world. The entire TEFL staff was dedicated to each individual, so we never lacked information or felt alone. I have made lifelong friends, as well as received my ticket to the world, thanks to TEFL Worldwide. I cannot recommend it enough.

Tefl Worldwide was a great experience that I would recommend to anyone. The class was pretty intense though, so get ready to learn a lot from great instructors. The classroom was conveniently located to a mall, a nice hotel and several restaurants right off the metro line.

The students, staff and instructors were first rate. The staff offered great job placement assistance and information.

I have wanted to do a TEFL program probably since I was in college, which saddens me to say, was almost 10 years ago.

Currently I am a librarian, and with that job comes a ton of experience in researching, so when I say I researched the hell out of TEFL programs around the world, believe me I looked through everything.

When I happened upon TEFL Worldwide Prague I was instantly captivated by the reviews and testimonials from their graduates. I thought to myself that this was the kind of program that I wanted to devote my time (and all my vacation) to. I won’t lie, I was a little intimidated by some of the reviews where they stated how tough the course was. Like I said before I hadn’t been in school for quite a long time and I didn’t know if I would be able to keep up. But, I always love a challenge and knew that I just had to do it.

Prague is one of my favorite places in the world and I knew that I wanted to do a program like this in a place that I love. I am from New York, but I didn’t want to take the course in some dinky little classroom in the middle of the city. I would much rather take it in a beautiful city somewhere else in the world. So, that’s what I did.

It took me about a year to come to the decision to go with TEFL Worldwide Prague. I wanted to make sure I would have the time off from work. I wanted to make sure that I was picking the best program that I could. And I wanted to make sure that I would be able to use it in my future, even if it wasn’t right after the course.

As soon as I sent in my application for TEFL, I was greeted with e-mails and calls from the staff. Everything from the application to my actual arrival in the city was coordinated. I am no stranger to travel, but it is always nice to have things work out easily when you are halfway around the world.

The accommodations were great as I was travelling alone, and I easily made friends with the other students staying in my apartment as well as all the students in the rest of the course. I feel like I have made lifelong friends because of the people that I met while at TEFL Worldwide Prague.

The first day of classes went by like a blur, and I was worried that I wouldn’t be prepared for my first class, which was the following day, but with all the preparation I was given from the staff, I was able to hold my own. Adrienne and Kenny were amazing instructors. They knew their entire material well and made it fun and easy to learn everything we would need to learn for teaching. Emily and Michael were incredibly helpful when it came to lesson plans. I felt like they answered any and all questions I had. Tereza, Maja, and Ly were all really helpful with anything I wanted to know about the city, where to go, what to do, etc.

I have no formal training in teaching at all. I have been a Russian Language Teaching Assistant, an SAT tutor, a mentor for Middle School students and a Young Adult Librarian. I had no idea what I was doing with myself before the course, but after the TEFL Worldwide Program, I feel fully capable of teaching English to adults and children.

TEFL not only gave me the tools—lessons, lesson planning, materials, etc. for teaching English, but it also gave me the confidence in myself that I can do it. I am and always will be forever thankful to TEFL Worldwide for the amazing experience that I had with them.

This course was one of the better things I have chosen to do in my life. I came into it with zero prior teaching experience and left a new person. The instructors are passionate and people you can genuinely look up to on the road to becoming a better teacher.

I found the course challenging but the caring nature of the TEFL staff and my amazing classmates allowed me to get through. I went on to teach in Vietnam after the course and experienced things I never thought I would. All thanks to how highly regarded this TEFL certification is. I’m a better teacher and more importantly a better person because of it.

Do yourself a favor, take this course and start your adventure abroad. You wont regret it!

I rate nearly every aspect of this training & course as excellent. Most exceptionally, while all of us and all staff are quite busy, the staff never makes you feel your questions are a burden or that there isn’t “some way” to get you information or guidance you need. Even something like assistance with configuring your email account differently for job-searching and the course, they don’t “give up” easily. There are many ESL assignments they provided us with that could be used not just in our general classroom teaching, but also in private tutoring. A few times, I observed that the real intensity of the program resulted in some exercises and some important areas of training to be cut too short too often. But practice teaching was never rushed, which is most important. Very thorough time was allotted to this, including feedback and assessment. I had not spent any time in a foreign country before, so this was a real delight for me, to meet people from different countries and spend considerable time with them. The course set us up nicely with housing, and staff readily assisted with any personal needs or challenges in living abroad.

What a wonderful program they offer! They do not offer you fluff or a walk in the park if that is what you are looking for. This program prepares you to teach in any circumstance. They maintain a high standard, ensuring you can handle teaching outside the program. I have been in contact with many fellow grads, and they have reassured me that the way we learned prepared them for anything. They have found that many of the things they have to do in their classrooms are more manageable. That if we weren’t pushed the way we were, life in another country plus managing a classroom would have been much harder. One of the most valuable things they do here is all the teaching experience you get teaching actual ESL students. This is the cement that binds together all the bricks of valuable information they teach. This part of the program I felt was priceless, especially since they offer so much feedback after each class. You know what you are doing well and what needs improvement. The program is not all serious either, we also had plenty of good times and laughs. From the day of acceptance, to anytime after graduation they are there for you. Lastly the relationships, friendships, and bonds that are formed in this month are the kind that can last a lifetime.

Excellent course. Finished Uni and went straight into this. Still get job offers from all over the world just because I did this course. If you’re like me and don’t know what you want to do this is a really good course to do if you want to travel and work around the globe.

After my college graduation I knew I wanted to do more travel and be in a position where I could work with languages, so I applied to TEFL Worldwide in Prague. The great beauty of Prague was matched only by the great knowledge gained and the great friendships made throughout this TEFL course.

Kenny and Adrienne were amazing teacher trainers! Each of their lessons was skillfully prepared and executed in such a way that us teacher trainees were able to follow along and pick up on the teaching steps and learning outcomes. Planning my own lessons and teaching a class for the first time was a bit nerve-racking, but with ample preparation and support from Kenny and Adrienne (and my fellow teacher trainees!) I managed to feel more relaxed and in control in the classroom. Kenny and Adrienne were also genuine and constructive with post-lesson feedback; outlining the highs and the lows of the lesson and recommending adjustments for the next one.

The TEFL course is not an easy one, but it’s one that’s worth it. I graduated feeling enlightened, prepared, and excited. I highly recommend TEFL Worldwide to anyone looking to become a TEFL teacher!

After the course I traveled around Europe, worked at an adventure camp in Turkey, and eventually moved to Los Angeles with my sister. Though it’s less common for TEFL teachers to return to their home country to teach, I found teaching in L.A. to be extraordinary and challenging. It was incredible and moving to hear some of my student’s backgrounds and reasons for moving to the US. I taught adults students from all over the world and from all walks of life, and that is something that I will never forget. The city of Los Angeles is quite unforgettable as well- very artsy and full of life! In spite of all this, I yearned to go abroad again. After considering different positions and different countries, I decided to accept a position in Slovakia-my current location. The language school I work at is incredible! The teachers are great, helpful, and fun. Teaching here in Slovakia is interesting and rewarding. I teach an extensive range of ages and English levels, so every day holds something fresh and fun!

I would definitely recommend TEFL Worldwide to anyone – I had a great experience there. Terry, the instructor, is just all-around an incredible teacher, and I felt 100% prepared to start teaching after four weeks learning from him. The course is also really well-structured, with teaching practice with Czech students built into the schedule.

TEFL Worldwide has a great reputation among language schools in the city, which is really important for jobsearching. We had a job fair on the last day of the class where different schools did presentations and we could leave our CVs with their reps, and I was contacted only a few days after graduation for an interview and had a job within about 9 days of finishing the class.

Additionally, leading up to the course, during it, and after it, the staff at TEFL was incredibly helpful. They have answered countless questions for me regarding every part of the TEFL experience and the move to Prague, and even months after graduating, they still frequently send me e-mails with both short and long-term job opportunities.

If you’re considering the program, DO IT!!!
